Mem V. Stein - Vocals

Mem founded his first band in Wiesbaden/Germany in 1984, called TARTAROS and disbanded the project after recording one demo in order to form a band that was rooted in the U.S. thrash tradition.

Along with guitarist Ray Mensh, Mem established EXUMER in 1985 and pursued different musical projects after leaving the band in late 1986. Among the many bands that Mem was involved in were hardcore metal crossover projects such as PHOBIC INSTINCT and OF RYTES, but also rap metal outfit HUMUNGOUS FUNGUS, where he reunited with ex-EXUMER guitarists Ray Mensh and Bernie Siedler.

After re-locating to NYC in 1998, Mem formed the old school thrash metal band SUN DESCENDS in 2000, and finally re-launched EXUMER in 2008, along with Ray Mensh and ex-member Paul Arakaki.
